This project has a lot of potential!

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am the CTO with relatively new home automation company called simplehomenet. We are proponents for open source, and are very interested in involvement with this project. We can bring to the table hardware experience, embedded devices and detailed knowledge of automation protocols including Insteon and X10 - plus a LOT of customer feedback.

You can see the product line at www.simplehomenet.com;

In our pipeline is also remote wireless sensors beyond motion (that market is saturated), switches / controllers with energy monitoring and some other goodies.

I am going to be reviewing the forums and knowledge base, plus the current status to see how best we can contribute, however feel free to contact us (or post) if you have some suggestions.

Welcome Paul,

Glad we are on your radar. We are interested the software to collect that information you export. We would like to see OR as an integrator.

You support Insteon then, do you export data that way? Maybe support would be as simple as KNX message standardization for interoperability, I have no idea at the moment. Here is a question for you. Is KNX even on your radar?
