Yay! I have just received the handbook for the KNX protocol and intend to dive in the application specs, see what I can learn. I will be populating the knowledge base with that as i go.

Some of it smells a bit of IBM with sentences like this chapter intentionally left blank, I am not kidding you. Someone warned me that Siemens-ware is kind of like IBM-ware, except more so, no comment.

Should be fun, looking forward to diving in it. Should make for good summer reading :)

Must be fascinating reading since you've completely dropped off the Net :-P

This Page left blank intentionally stems from the days the thing was printed on paper. It simply looks nices if the actual content starts on the right hand side, and not on the left hand side. Moreover, if the end of the text is on page 53 at the bottom, a reader wonders if there was a printing error and page 54 was forgotten. It's not like a movie that you know has stopped when you see End. Therefore, out of pure friendliness towards the possibly confused reader, the last page is always an even page and Page left blank is put on it. But hey, on the CD, it's only a few bytes more.

Stephen,

please, I do mean the CHAPTER INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK. Not just a page.

That's OK, I didn't need to swallow the elephant anyway, all I really needed was a good time on experience. I will be blogging more about this as I believe that we could possibly offer simple tools to simplify maintenance and programming as well as UI.
